Data Collection

SignaCapture does not collect any user data. Period.

All screenshot capture, processing, and PDF generation happens entirely on your local device. Nothing is sent to external servers or the cloud.

Permissions Explained

SignaCapture requires the following browser permissions to function:

activeTab

• Purpose: Capture screenshots of the current active tab
• Usage: Only activated when you click a capture button
• Data: Screenshot data stays in your browser's memory temporarily

scripting

• Purpose: Inject the selection overlay for area capture
• Usage: Creates the visual interface for selecting custom capture areas
• Data: No data is collected; only UI components are injected

offscreen

• Purpose: Process and stitch images for full page captures
• Usage: Combines multiple screenshots into a single image
• Data: Processing happens entirely in browser memory

Data Storage

Screenshots are temporarily held in your browser's memory (RAM) for processing. They are automatically cleared after 10 minutes or when you export/delete them.

No data is written to disk except when you explicitly choose to download a PNG or PDF file.

Third-Party Services

SignaCapture does not use:

• Analytics or tracking services
• Advertising networks
• Cloud storage providers
• External APIs (except optionally opening signareader.com)

SignaReader Integration

When you click "Download PDF", SignaCapture:

• Generates the PDF locally on your device
• Downloads it to your computer
• Opens signareader.com in a new tab for your convenience

The PDF file is not automatically uploaded to SignaReader. You must manually drag and drop it if you wish to use SignaReader's editing features.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
